The Centre for Crop and Disease Management (Building 304) at Curtin University’s Bentley Campus is a new three storey research facility consisting of QC2 and QC3 laboratories, workspaces, shared facilities and a café.
The new facility was built within an operating university campus and adjacent to a primary bus terminal, lecture theatres and exam venues.
The site was extremely constrained and all construction activities were carefully coordinated with university operations and exam timetables to minimise disruption and inconvenience to staff, students and visitors.
The Centre for Crop and Disease Management earned a special mention for Best Building Fit Out at the 2017 Master Builders - Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards.
